Groups for Moms in Northeast Ohio

Many cities in Northeast Ohio have early childhood PTAs for kids who moms/dads with kids under kindergarten age. The group plans outings which you can sign up for (some paid/some free). You are often able to join even if you don’t live in the specific city, but definitely contact the ECPTA you are interested in with any questions you may have/to check if residency applies to them!

*Note: There is usually a membership fee.

The Mom Walk Co. hosts monthly walk meetups, along with other playdates and moms-only events. They currently have Mom Walk Co. groups in Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Willoughby, Amherst, and Uniontown.

MOMS Club is an international group that has multiple chapters in Northeast Ohio, including the following cities: Akron-Canton West, Akron-Canton East, Copley/Fairlawn, Hudson, Medina-East, Medina-West, and North Royalton

You do not need to live in the city of the MOM Club to be a member. Similar to an ECPTA, they schedule different activities in which you can sign up/participate with your children.

At the time I am writing this, The Goodish Moms Club is currently held on the east side of Cleveland. However, they have plans to hold meetings on the west side in the future. They have mom meetups and family-friendly events, usually a couple/month.

Mamahood offers weekly meetups for moms and their babies under 1 year of age. They have west side and east side meetups including a weekday and weekend option. They offer have monthly alumni meetups and loss support meetups.

Wollemi Counseling offers various meetings for moms, including “The Village Grove Postpartum Group,” “Milktime Meetup,” “Mindful Mamas,” The Seedling: New Parent Support Group,” as well as numerous workshops.

Lakewood Family Room is located on the bottom floor of the Cove Community Center in Lakewood. On Wednesdays, they offer Newborn Support for caregivers with babies up to 8 weeks old and newborn support for caregivers with babies up to a year old. Even if you are not a resident in Lakewood, you can attend those meetings.

The Wandering Lantern, a children’s bookstore in Lakewood, is now hosting “Moms Connect!” meet ups for moms and their littles. The meetings are on Tuesdays from 10 AM-12 PM and Thursdays from 2 PM-4 PM. Check their website for updated information!

Sage and Honey, a bookstore in Chagrin Falls, hosts a “Momma Bee Support Group” on the second Saturday of every month from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM. Little ones are welcome to join.

YMCAs are a great, family-friendly option. Each YMCA offers different days/hours for childcare, so contact the one you are interest in visiting to inquire further.
